This is a great dish that can be made in about 1/2 hour (depending on how good your knife skills are). I usually serve it over brown rice.
Teriyaki Sauce:
1/2 cup Soy Sauce
1/4 cup Water
2 1/2 Tbsp Brown Sugar
2 Tbsp Rice Wine Vinegar
2 tsp Garlic ( Minced )
1 tsp Ground Ginger
1 Tbsp Cornstarch
2 Tbsp Cold Water
Turkey and Vegetables:
1 Tbsp Sesame Oil
1/2 Cup Onion ( Diced )
2 Tbsp Garlic ( Minced )
1 lbs. Ground Turkey
1 Cup Broccoli ( Finely Chopped )
1. Mix soy sauce, 1/4 cup water, vinegar, sugar, garlic, and ginger in a small Sauce pan over medium heat. Sir with a whisk until sugar is dissolved.
2. In a small bowl, whisk together 2 Tbsp cold water and corn starch until corn starch is dissolved.
3. Heat Sauce over medium high heat. Slowly whisk corn starch mixture and dinner until thickened. Remove from heat and set aside.
4. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium high heat. As diced onions and cook until soft.
5. Crumble ground turkey and garlic into the pan and cook until turkey is about half-done. Add broccoli and continue to cook until turkey is no longer pink.
6. Pour teriyaki sauce over cooked turkey and vegetable mixture and stir. Simmer for about 5 minutes to combine the flavors.
7. Spoon meal over rice or noodles.
Makes 4 servings.
